Jake chose to study a T Level in Digital Production, drawn in by his passion for programming and interest in digital technology. The course gave him the opportunity to develop practical skills in a focused, career-driven environment.
One of the standout aspects of Jake’s experience was the high level of support he received from his tutors.
“The hands-on help at college was completely different from school. The tutors really kept me on track with my assignments and helped me build my confidence.”
His placement at Wavemaker UK was the highlight of the course. As part of the Growth Team, he supported business operations by working on spreadsheets, creating digital forms and helping run a business event. “The placement gave me a real insight into how a digital company works and how I could contribute in a professional setting.”
Jake is now aiming to secure a place on the Wavemaker Thrive Apprenticeship programme or a similar role in the digital sector. He’s excited to continue learning and developing his skills in a real-world environment.
His goal is simple:
