"It's never too late to go back to college and get a qualification to help move forward onto the next step in your career."
Before she enrolled onto the course she spoke to a career's advisor at the college, which she found really helpful.
“Speaking with someone allowed me to start thinking about my future and the career path I wanted to take. When I came into the college to enroll for the course, I still didn't know which route to go down. I spoke to one of the tutors and they recommended I joined the course I'm currently studying. I'm very happy with the course so far and glad that this is the one I decided to take.”
Jenna was worried about fitting studying around her job but is really pleased with the flexibility and support she receives from her tutors. She also benefits from using the facilities at the college such as the library, this is ideal when she needs to fit in extra study and write any assignments.
“I haven't been studying the course for that long, but I've already picked up so much knowledge within the first few months, I'm excited about everything we are going to be covering as the course continues. At the moment we are working on managerial skills, and everything is preparing us for the workplace.”
In the future, Jenna would like to go into management in the construction industry and is looking forward to having a degree that reflects her knowledge and experience.
My experience at BDC has been nothing but positive and I couldn’t recommend the college enough. The course I'm studying is taught by multiple tutors, so I feel like there is always someone I can go to for help or ask if I have any questions.
